Adrenal Function Hormone Test Measures the following:

Cortisol - am, noon, dinner & bedtime levels

DHEA

*Melatonin - Melatonin's target sites are both central and peripheral. Binding sites have been found in many areas of the brain, including the pars tuberalis and hypothalamus, but also in the cells of the immune system, gonads, kidney, and the cardiovascular system

*Optional Panel - Additional cost of $47 for Melatonin hormone testing.

Saliva vs blood
In comparison to blood or urinary steroids, salivary steroids more precisely depict the biologically active hormones in the body .
The baseline measurement of hormone levels in saliva provides an accurate assessment and can be used to identify or monitor a number of clinical conditions, including climacteric changes in perimenopausal or postmenopausal women, adrenal disorders such as Addison's disease or Cushing's disease, as well as  androgen deficiency in both men and women.

The age-related decrease of hormones such as estradiol, dhea, testosterone and progesterone are also assessed and monitored.

NOTE: Adrenaline (epinephrine) is a hormone your adrenal glands make to help you prepare for stressful or dangerous situations.

We measure the adrenal's cortisol production---
am, noon, evening & bedtime to assess the correct &/or skewed circadian rhythm of your adrenal's innate ability to support your endocrine system (immunity) thyroid push, focus & energy throughout the day.
Cortisol is responsible for the synthesis and release of glucocorticoids and mineralocorticoids and is also an additional source of androgens in humans.

These hormones are important for maintaining homeostasis while influencing mood, reproduction, and behavior.

Adrenal Belly, a condition emerging from the intersection of chronic stress and hormonal imbalance, highlights the complexity of weight gain in the context of modern lifestyles.

Ongoing Adrenal stress alters all your hormones, setting your body up to pack on extra pounds. A telltale sign of weight gain caused by adrenal stress is midsection weight gain. Stress-related belly fat is difficult to lose as ongoing adrenal stress continuously “feeds” this fat, keeping it locked in place.

Adrenal fatigue shows as a collection of nonspecific symptoms, such as body aches, fatigue, nervousness, sleep disturbances and digestive problems. Your adrenal glands produce a wide range of hormones that are essential to a healthy life.

  • We use only CLIA certified labs for all our testing

Congress passed the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) in 1988 establishing authority to promulgate standards for certain laboratory testing to ensure the accuracy, reliability and timeliness of test results regardless of where or by whom the test was performed.
“CLIA” is the acronym for the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988. This law requires any facility performing examinations of human specimens (e.g., tissue, blood, urine, etc.) for diagnosis, prevention, or treatment purposes to be certified by the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services.
